Description
PLEASE, don't report my picture!
It already happened to me and it left me with a bitter feeling.
I AM AWARE, posting pictures of the tower with it's lights on are not allowed.
All I want to do is display the image, share the experience, not sell it or anything like that. This will never be available as a print or for download. And the quality is crappy anyway.
So PLEASE, once again, don't report this image!
Here's the original: [link] (c) Hinda Razvan 2008
This picture is NOT taken by me, so consider this rather a "feature".
I only did the basic editing on it.
It's a friend of mine who's not a photographer and with whom I was on the same trip.
I had shown him the long exposure trick a few days before because we had similar cameras, and then he just got this amazing shot by borrowing a tripod from someone present there.
The reason why I wanted to have this in my gallery is because I missed the illuminated tower just minutes before it turned off. I was wondering through Paris and had no idea it turns off after a certain hour. I needed a complete collection in my "EUROTRIP - Taize '08" album and if I had got there in time I would have taken it and many more myself.
This one was shot from the exact same position as my picture from last year [link] only illuminated blue, which marked the beginning of the French Presidency of the European Union.

Beautiful.
I was supposed to travel to Europe in a few months, but those plans fell through. =[
